If you’re looking for a refreshing cocktail that pairs perfectly with the warm weather, you’ll want to make a few Lemon-Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktails. They are a great go-to when you want to kick back and relax.
Summer is time to relax — or get crazy — depending on your family and free time! No matter what you’re up to, it’s important to find time for yourself, away for just a while from the hustle and bustle of appointments, work, errands, and all the other must-do items on your list.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of PEOPLE®, InStyle®, and Sunset®. The opinions and text are all mine. Thank you for supporting the brands I love!
My “me time” comes in the form of kicking back by the pool with a Lemon-Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktail and great entertainment to relax with. My entertainment is usually thumbing through one of my favorite magazines.
Sunset magazine was my choice recently because it’s filled with gorgeous images, mouth-watering recipes, and great ideas for entertaining.
The recipes in Sunset are the ones I love to recreate, or be inspired by. That sometimes means sharing them here, too!
For now, I’m sharing one of my favorite summer cocktail recipes. Lemon-Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktails combine a few of summer’s favorite ingredients: lemonade and iced tea. I added even more flavor by adding bourbon for a grown-up drink, and garnishing them with orange, lemon, and cucumber slices (and even a few strawberries thrown in for good measure).
Another of my favorite cocktails for summer include a Blackberry Buck Cocktail. The muddled berries bring great color and flavor to this drink.
You might also like to make Cantaloupe-Mint Caipirinha Cocktails for something a little different. Did you know the caipirinha is the national cocktail of Brazil? Fun, right?
If you’re looking for a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, you should try my Strawberry-Mint Agua Fresca recipe. It’s a delicious and pretty fruit-based drink.
It’s funny how we have our routines: I love to page through PEOPLE when I’m getting a pedicure, and I always pick up an issue of InStyle when I’m ready to jump on a flight. It’s been that way for years!
I found the most recent issue of Sunset at my Safeway grocery store (you can find one at your local Albertsons retailer). Super convenient since you can also find all of the ingredients to make yourself a batch of Lemon-Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktails! Perfect to maximize the time you have to spend on your “me time.”
I haven’t been on vacation yet this summer, but I always try to find time to chill a bit each week. Hanging out by the pool is always welcome.
If you don’t have a pool, I recommend picking up a kiddie pool to dip your toes in. I’ve been known to do that, and it’s very refreshing! Or find a friend with a pool — just promise to bring the Lemon-Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktails and you’ll be a welcome guest, for sure!

I hope you carve out some “me time” for yourself this summer, and I hope you give my recipe for Lemon-Bourbon Iced Tea Cocktails a try, too!
