Why not get a little creative when you make your own cocktails? For brunch or an afternoon get together, I love these Asian Bloody Mary Cocktails. They are a little spicy and definitely colorful. If you’re like me and like to add a little variety to a classic drink, you’ll love them!
I’m so glad it’s Friday! Dumb thing to say, right? I feel like I had to say it out loud because my Thursday felt like two Mondays combined. Ugh!
If you’ve got some downtime planned for the weekend (I sure do), or you have the urge to invite a few friends over for brunch, why not make a batch of Asian Bloody Mary Cocktails?
They’re colorful with a bit of zing, and they even include garnish you’ll actually love to nibble on — grilled spicy shrimp. It’s easy to adjust the seasoning in these cocktails to suit your needs. I like mine a little spicy, so I add a touch more chili garlic sauce to mine, and sometimes a tad more soy sauce, too. If you love ginger, add some grated ginger to the mix, too.
You know, it’s not too early to get ready for football season and tailgating. I’m just saying… and at least I’m not talking about pumpkin-flavored food and drinks, right?! These cocktails will be great for game day, and they’ll easily take you through the seasons.
In case you’re whipping up brunch, you might like my Roasted Broccoli and Swiss Quiche or Spinach, Bacon, and Brie Breakfast Crêpes. Both are easy to make and perfect for brunch.
If you want a second fun cocktail to serve, try my Verde Mary Cocktail with Green Tomatoes and Tomatillos. They’re so good, and super unique!
Whatever you do, don’t forget to put out something sweet! Cinnamon Pretzel Crunch Sugar Cookies are one of my favorite cookies!
How do you feel about tomato juice? I’m definitely a juice fan, but I have to say that I don’t typically pour myself a glass of plain tomato juice in the a.m. Even so, Asian Bloody Mary Cocktails hit the spot for me. For some reason (vodka?) I really like bloody Marys, tomato juice and all.
I think Bloody Marys are a versatile cocktail. You can make them spicy (yes!) or add another sort of juice (I once made them with a tomato-red pepper juice combo). You can make them citrusy or flavor ‘em up with olive juice. You get the picture!
I hope you enjoy your weekend and I hope you get the chance to try a batch of Asian Bloody Mary Cocktails with friends!
