Easy Chocolate Chip-Orange Cannoli Cups are the perfect treats to help you ring in the New Year! Serve these sweets with Champagne or hot chocolate, or whatever might be your favorite festive drink. These are so easy to make for party fun!
New Year’s Eve celebrations in my world include staying in with family and friends for a delicious dinner that might include a dish like Spaghetti alle Vongole (Spaghetti with Clams) some Champagne or prosecco, and of course, sweet treats. Do you do the same?
I’m serving these Easy Chocolate Chip-Orange Cannoli Cups for the “sweets” part of this year’s celebrations. They’re super easy to make and everyone loves them!
I use prepackaged mini fillo cups that you pop in the oven for… three minutes. That’s about the same amount of time it takes to make the filling — no joke!
My mom is visiting, and she’s so impressed with these little cups that she’s planning to make them for her next gathering with her friends. The light orange flavor you find in these treats is exactly the right amount. I used orange liqueur and orange zest, but if you’d rather not use liqueur, use orange juice instead.
The miniature size of these goodies makes them perfectly pop-able and handy to pass around to guests. I’m a fan of miniature treats. I mean, sooooo many fewer calories than full-size treats, right? Riiiight! If you’re like me, you’ll love these Mini Funfetti Scones. They’re so festive and cute!
Can’t get enough of mini-sized treats? Try my Mini Sugar Cookie Cups with Lemon Curd, or Mini Blood Orange Scented Chocolate-Ricotta Cakes. They are so adorable (and delicious)!
Whether you’re having a big party on New Year’s Eve, cozying up with someone special, or hanging out and playing games with your family, these Easy Chocolate Chip-Orange Cannoli Cups will add to the fun!
I hope you’re able to enjoy time with family and friends as the year ends, and I wish you all a healthy and prosperous New Year!

Yields 30 cups
Ingredients
- 30 prepackaged mini fillo cups
- 3-1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 teaspoons orange liqueur
- Zest from 1 large orange (reserve a bit for garnish)
- 5-6 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine the ricotta, confectioners sugar, orange liqueur, orange zest, and chocolate chips. Mix well and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
- When you’re ready to prepare the cup, bake the fillo cups according to package directions (mine were in the oven for just 3 minutes).
- Transfer the ricotta mixture to a pastry bag, or a zippered plastic baggie and with the tip of one corner cut off (make sure to snip the corner just enough so the mini chips can pass through).
- Fill each fillo cup with the mixture, peaking it at the top.
- Garnish with a little extra orange zest.
- Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
