Ingredients
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1 green onion, green and white parts chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce like Sriracha or another type
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds as garnish
- 1 pound Smithfield All Natural Boneless Pork Chops
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Add the ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, green onion, garlic, hot sauce, and black pepper to a medium-sized pan. Bring to a boil.
- Turn the heat to simmer. Mix the cornstarch and 2 teaspoons water in a small bowl until smooth.
- Pour and stir the cornstarch mixture into the pan with the other ingredients. Allow the mixture to cook for 10 minutes to thicken slightly. Remove from the heat.
- Reserve about 1/4 of the sauce from the portion you'll use for grilling.
- Season the pork with the vegetable oil on both sides along with salt and black pepper. Grill the pork on a preheated grill over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes on one side, flip and cook for 4 minutes on the other side. Coat the pork with the sauce. Flip and cook for about a minute. Add more sauce to the other side, flip, and cook for another minute or so.
- Cut the pork into strips, sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve with the reserved sauce on the side.
