Simple Strawberry Wine Slushies are worth reaching for this summer. Whether it’s cocktail hour or a relaxing weekend in the backyard, these frozen drinks hit the spot on a hot day.
I know wine slushies aren’t a new phenomenon but when the hot temps start to roll in, this frozen sipper makes everything seem new again!
Do you remember slurping up slushies in the summers as a kid with the inevitable “brain freeze” that came with them (and sometimes blue or pink rimmed lips, too!)? These simple strawberry wine slushies might bring back childhood memories, but these drinks are definitely for adults only.
White wine or a nice rosé is perfect for the warmer summer weather. Have you seen a lot of frosé recipes popping up – you know – rosé slushies? Yum! Iowa Girl Eats has a nice Boozy Frosé recipe that’s fun!
Simple Strawberry Wine Slushies
This recipe for simple strawberry wine slushies is about as easy as it gets when you’re looking for an adult, summery drink. You only need two ingredients to make these drinks (three if you count ice cubes!): your favorite white wine and frozen strawberries. No joke!
If you do make these white wine treats, don’t forget a pretty garnish of a few fresh strawberries or a couple sprigs of mint. It’s up to you!
One more thing you might want to add when you’re serving these drinks…a spoon because it’s fun to take a few “bites” of a slushie with a spoon! I love how there are a few tiny pieces of strawberry in each bite of these pretty pink slushies.
If you want to go the non-alcoholic, refreshing drink route you should try my recipe for strawberry-mint agua fresca. It’s another fun summer drink that’s so easy to make with fresh fruit and a little simple syrup.
Have you ever had a prickly pear margarita? It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of fruit-inspired cocktails!
I do have to admit that these strawberry wine slushies are at the top of my summer drink list, but my heart still belongs to a fabulous Paloma cocktail. Have you ever had one? They’re said to be the most popular tequila drink in Mexico and it’s easy to understand why!
Fruit-inspired drinks that aren’t overly sweet are the best in my book, and that’s what you get with these white wine slushies. I used frozen strawberries that are so easy to keep on hand. I’m always worried about my fresh strawberries going bad in the fridge too soon!
Not only are the frozen strawberries convenient, but for these drinks, they help keep things cold and frosty, serving as flavored ice cubes, if you will! I used two cups of wine, which is good for four servings of slushies.
Keep in mind that’s just a bit less wine per serving (comes to about four ounces of wine per serving) than a standard wine pour, so if you’d like to add a smidge more wine and frozen strawberries to the mix, go for it.
For a fun, easy-to-make adult beverage this summer, reach for simple strawberry wine slushies. They’re made for the season!
